I bought this dress while it was on sale because I loved the look and wanted to get something nice for myself. I have a friend who buys lots of her dresses here and she speaks highly of it, so I thought I’d go for it. The dress wasn’t terrible, and I bought it knowing it would probably be a bit tight on me (I bought the 5X—I’m usually a 14 or 16 in US sizes, for reference). The main thing that disappointed me was that the length of the bodice didn’t seem at all adjusted to the 5x measurements. Since my bust takes up more space than in the other sizes, the bodice part of the dress falls not at my waist but rather right below my bust, sort of like a regency dress would. It’s not horrible, but I expected better for the price I paid, and it does make wearing the dress a hassle since I’m constantly having to pull it down to avoid a weird bunching effect at my bust.
